You will be working together as a group to try and create a presentation of exactly what happenened during and after the Assasination of the Archduke and his wife.
You will need to decide as a group how you are going to do this.
Will it be in the form of a documentary. Perhaps a radio play. A movie. A series of newsreels like they had at that time with someone that had a posh English BBC accent. Will it require props, who is going to do this.
Next you will need to decide how you are going to split it up and who will have what task.
Maybe you will need to decide who will be the director of operations, the technician, actors etc etc,
You will all need to work on the screenplay though.
Use this area as an area in which you can upload any files or scripts which you can all work on together. Maybe you can produce a final movie?
How you will be assessed. I will be monitoring what each person does. You will also be filling in a self assesment sheet and also a sheet to assess the performance of others in the group. This will be done seperately and privately. Historical accuracy is important, so if you are involved in a certain section make sure you research it properly.
Use the Discussion section at the top of the page.

The End of the War
After 3 years of stalement on the 800km Western Front, which stretched from the North sea to the Alps, 2 decisive things happened in 1917. The Tsar of Russia was overthrown in a Bolshevik communist revolution, pulling Russia out of the war, and the Americans entered the war. This influx of fresh troops helped make a breakthrough in the Hindenburg line. After 4 years of total war, the German people and army could not sustain any more fighting and on the 11/11 1918 the peace armistace was signed. This date is still called "rememberance day" and poppies are worn. The significance of this comes from the poet John McCrae who wrote this poem in 1916. He was killed in the trenches in 1918.
